Portal Legal
Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Portor Lighting collects and uses information in the P.E.R.C.Y. / PDSM portal for authorized reps, distributor users, and internal admins.
Scope
The portal is a restricted business tool. It is not intended for public consumer use, children, or personal household activity. Separate written agreements with your company may also apply to pricing, orders, commissions, confidentiality, and data access.
Information We Collect
We collect only the information needed to operate, secure, support, and improve the portal.
- Account information, such as name, business email, username, role, company or agency assignment, and login status.
- Business portal data, such as quotes, order references, pricing access, product resources, support requests, commission report access, and feedback notes submitted through the portal.
- Legal acceptance records, such as the version of the terms and privacy policy accepted and the acceptance timestamp.
- Usage and security data, such as pages visited, actions taken, timestamps, browser user agent, device/session details, and hashed IP address. We do not store raw IP addresses in portal analytics or feedback records.
- Communications with us, including emails, support requests, admin notes, and other business correspondence.
How We Use Information
- Authenticate users and enforce role-based access.
- Provide pricing, quote, order, commission, product, and account tools.
- Respond to support requests and feedback.
- Measure which portal areas are being used so we can improve the experience.
- Protect portal security, troubleshoot errors, prevent misuse, and maintain business records.
- Comply with legal, accounting, contractual, or operational obligations.
How Information Is Shared
We may share portal information with Portor Lighting personnel and affiliated teams who need it for sales, operations, accounting, technical support, or administration. We may also share relevant business information with your employer, rep agency, or distributor organization when needed to support the relationship.
We use service providers for hosting, databases, email, file storage, analytics, data sync, and other business operations. Those providers may process information for the business purposes described here. We do not sell portal personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Cookies And Tracking
The portal uses necessary cookies and similar technologies for login sessions, security, preferences, and first-party usage analytics. We do not use third-party advertising trackers inside the restricted portal. Because there is no industry-standard response to browser Do Not Track signals, the portal does not change necessary first-party functionality based on those signals.
Retention
We keep portal information for as long as needed for the business relationship, account administration, security, reporting, legal compliance, dispute resolution, and operational history. We may retain business records such as quotes, orders, commission references, support requests, and feedback for longer than an individual login remains active.
Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect portal information, including HTTPS, authentication, role-based access, and limited first-party analytics. No system can be guaranteed completely secure, and authorized users are responsible for protecting their account credentials.
Your Choices
Authorized users may ask to review, correct, or update account information by contacting their portal administrator or Portor Lighting. Depending on applicable law and the business relationship, additional access, deletion, or portability rights may apply. We will respond to legally required privacy requests according to applicable law.
Children
The portal is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children through the portal.
Changes
We may update this policy as the portal or legal requirements change. Material changes will be posted here, and continued portal use after an update means the current policy applies.
